Cedrick Cooper skipped waiting till 2:00 today to make a decision and signed with South Carolina. He was down to Ole Miss and South Carolina after eliminating Arkansas the other day. He was at one time committed to both South Carolina and Arkansas but stuck with USC after meeting with Coach Lorenzo Ward.
Cooper took his official visit to Ole Miss and was up in the air as of last night as to what school he would choose. The young man was set to announce today and went ahead and sent in his letter of intent for South Carolina. This is a nice pickup at linebacker for the Gamecocks with a guy that's physical and has some speed to him and should be able to handle playing outside linebacker in the SEC. This makes up for losing Lateek Townsend to Clemson.
