Cedrick Cooper has had a whirlwind week so far. He took an official visit to USC this past weekend and loved it. He decided to commit to USC before leaving on Sunday. The next day he spoke with some coaches from Arkansas in home and end up committing to them. However he never decommitted from USC. So Cooper was committed to two schools in two days.

USC's Lorenzo Ward came by to see Cooper on Wednesday and had a nice long talk according to PalmettoSports.com. Cooper re-affirmed his commitment to South Carolina and told Arkansas via phone call that he was with the Gamecocks.

His coach and mentor seems to think Cooper was concerned with his status at South Carolina based on the most recent events but was told that Coach Spurrier will wait for him. So it looks like South Carolina is the team to beat for now. He's still planning an official visit to Ole Miss this weekend and I'm sure he will enjoy himself. Most recruits always have a good official visit. The biggest question will come on Monday after the visit. Will Cooper stick with USC or will he decide that Ole Miss is the place for him? Or is Arkansas going to be back in the mix now?

Time will tell for Cooper but so far so good for USC according to Phil Kornblut. This recruiting battle isnt over yet so stay tuned next week to see how it plays out.
