It looks like you can scratch off DeMario Bennett's name from the list of players looking to replace Tori Gurley in 2011. It's being reported by David Cloninger at GamecockCentral.com that Bennett will transfer to Coastal Carolina and join their football program. This isn't the first time Bennett has looked into transferring as he was close to doing so at one point last year but elected to stay at USC.

Bennett came on as a freshman in the 2009 fall practice and was close to earning some playing time before taking a redshirt to help with some hamstring issues. Bennett played for the Gamecocks in 2010 in a small role being featured in 8 games this season with only 1 catch for 4 yards.

Bennett is a 6'2" 174 pound wide receiver who definitely would have his opportunities in 2011 but has decided he would earn more playing time at Coastal Carolina. He seemed like a good student-athlete and Coastal should have a playmaker for them when he steps on to campus. Good luck DeMario in the future.
