LaShay Page is coming home.

If you believe the rumors.

Jeff Goodman from CBS Sports sent out a tweet indicating that LaShay Page will transfer to South Carolina to finish out his college basketball career. Page is expected to visit South Carolina this week, according to PalmettoSports.com, where you would expect his decision to be made final on that visit.

Jason Hurst, a sports reporter for a news station in Jackson, Mississippi, indicates that Southern Miss confirms the transfer of LaShay Page to be closer to home but doesn't indicate where.

If this happens for the Gamecocks, South Carolina gains an experienced guard who should bring instant scoring ability to the back-court for USC. The Gamecocks lacked that scoring presence that they had in guards Devan Downey and Tre Kelley. With Bruce Ellington returning to football, USC needs someone with a scorer's mentality and Page has that.

He's a veteran player who will get to play in front of friends and family. It all makes sense for Page to call South Carolina his home for his final season of eligibility.

We'll wait to see what happens in a few days, but odds are, expect this news to be made official by the start of the weekend.
