South Carolina is hoping to find quite a nice addition to the 2013 signing class when Demetrius Henry announces his commitment.

The Gamecocks will have to wait one week later according to Henry.

Henry has announced that he will commit, and sign, to his school of choice on April 24. He originally had planned an announcement on April 17 but that got delayed after he had to delay some visits.

The talented forward is set to visit Miami this coming weekend and will take a trip to South Florida the following weekend before making his announcement.

All three schools are still in the running, although, it appears that South Carolina may have an edge here coming off the recent official visit by Henry to Columbia. Frank Martin has made Henry a top priority and with the overhaul of the team for next season, playing time shouldn't be an issue where Henry is concerned. He's a nice offensive presence down low with good size. He'll get a chance to make an immediate impact right away in Columbia.

The Gamecocks are still looking at Henry as well as Darryl Reynolds to fill out their 2013 recruiting class. At this point, South Carolina is over the scholarship limit and each addition more adds more attrition from the current roster.

It's quite a tough task at hand for Frank Martin revamping the basketball program but bringing in Demetrius Henry should help make it a much easier time for everyone around.
