Statistically, it wasn't what most people expected out of South Carolina star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney for the 2013 season, but that hasn't stopped him from earning high praise during the award circuit.
Clowney was named to the first team of the American Football Coaches Association All-America team for the 2013 season. This is the second straight year that Clowney has been named to this All-America Team and marks the fifth straight year a Gamecock has been named to an All-America team.
Clowney finished the season with 35 tackles on the year, including 10.5 tackles for loss, as well as three sacks, eight quarterback hurries and a forced fumble.
So far, Clowney has been named a first-team All-SEC selection by both the Associated Press and the SEC coaches as well as a second-team Walter Camp All-American.
