South Carolina planned to have two defensive tackles officially visit this upcoming weekend for South Carolina's biggest recruiting weekend of the year.
One of those recruits has decided to visit elsewhere and may turn out to be an opportunity for the other.
Keith Bryant, a four-star defensive tackle from Delray Beach, FL, has decided to visit Miami this weekend instead of South Carolina. Bryant was previously committed to Miami earlier this year.
Bryant will then head to Tennessee next weekend and then have a final visit between South Carolina, LSU and Alabama on the final weekend before National Signing Day.
With Bryant delaying his visit to South Carolina, or possibly not visiting at all, this means good things for Deadrin Senat.
Senat, a three-star defensive tackle from Immokalee, FL, has been said that he's ready to announce his commitment to South Carolina if they are willing to accept it. This one-time Florida State commitment may be what the Gamecocks decide to go after and finalize its recruiting for the defensive tackle position in this class.
South Carolina had a spot open up with decision by Alfy Hill to enroll at UNC-Pembroke due to grades so the opportunity is there for the Gamecocks to land Senat this weekend. The question has always been do they pursue him as much as Keith Bryant. It's clear South Carolina wants him but they've only had room for one more defensive tackle.
The news of Bryant visiting Miami this weekend will likely give the Gamecocks all they need to go after Deadrin Senat.
