South Carolina continued to add to the 2014 recruiting class when Malik Young made his decision to become a Gamecock.

The Woodmont High School prospect decided that South Carolina was the place for him one week after receiving an offer from the Gamecocks. Young, a player projected at guard at the next level, only has one other listed offer to his credit in South Carolina State but this is a player that is expected to see his stock rise.

He started as a two-star prospect on but many analysts believe his ranking will increase as more exposure is gained. Young is an individual who had academic struggles early on causing the delay in offers but things have gotten better with the prospect and South Carolina made the jump with an offer.

It's likely a good move on Shawn Elliott and company as Young will continue to grow and has the raw talent to grow into a solid offensive lineman in the future.

This article on TheBigSpur mentioned that South Carolina was Young's "dream school."

It appears that dream has come true and Young couldn't be more excited.
