South Carolina welcomed three of its newest players today with the enrollment of Ronnie Martin, Connor Mitch and DJ Park for the start of the spring semester at South Carolina.

All three players were 2013 recruiting class commitments, with Park and Mitch graduating from high school early and Martin enrolling after spending time in junior college.

Mitch is the heralded addition of the three as he is expected to be the next heir to the Gamecocks' quarterback throne. Mitch ranks second in four career categories in North Carolina high school history, passing for 12,078 yards, with 1,384 attempts, 807 completions and 153 touchdowns. He threw for 63 touchdowns in his senior season, including setting the state record with nine touchdowns in a single game.

Mitch is a four-star prospect among most recruiting services and chose South Carolina over LSU, Alabama, Auburn and North Carolina.

D.J. Park is expected to add some beef to the Gamecocks' offensive line in the future. Park was the starting left tackle for Dillon during their AA State title run. Park recently competed in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl in California.

Park selected the Gamecocks over Auburn, Clemson, Florida and LSU. He's considered a four-star prospect on most recruiting services.

Ronnie Martin joins the Gamecocks program after signing with South Carolina in 2011. He failed to qualify out of high school and enrolled at Georgia Military College. Martin saw limited action at GMC this season due to injury but did log three interceptions in three games. Martin is also expected to contribute to the Gamecocks' special teams on top of playing the cornerback position for South Carolina.

Martin is a three-star prospect on most recruiting services and considered one of the top cornerbacks coming out of junior college.

All three players are eligible to participate in spring practice and will likely have a leg up on some of the other competition that will enroll this summer.

Welcome to the Gamecock Family!
