Jadeveon Clowney is a name thats been mentioned here numerous times and probably will almost daily for the next few weeks. He's a big deal for college football and especially the Gamecocks. So what is the latest update for Clowney?

Jadeveon Clowney will not make his expected trip to Florida State this weekend. PalmettoSports.com is reporting that the visit is off and as of now it hasnt been rescheduled. This would most likely eliminate the Seminoles from the running and leave the Gamecocks and Alabama with Clemson on the outside. The Clemson visit is still planned for next weekend but it could be cancelled as well. It already has been delayed once or twice by Clowney.

There is a very good chance that Jadeveon Clowney will make a trip to USC instead of FSU. Its the Gamecocks big recruiting weekend and plenty of top prospects will be on hand to check out the campus and take in the Kentucky game Saturday evening. If he makes it in then USC should be extremely pleased as their efforts continue to pay off in landing the big man. They just saw him tonight after his basketball practice and spent some time with the family. USC has put themselves in the position they need to be to land Clowney. Life of a Gamecock still projects Clowney to come to South Carolina. It's a big weekend that could be even bigger with Clowney on campus.
