South Carolina will have a big week forth coming as several of their top prospects expect to announce some decisions this week. One of those players is Sheldon Royster and he's decided now to make a decision Thursday night around 8:30. Royster was scheduled to visit UNC but decided to drop the Tar Heels and is expected to announce a decision between South Carolina and Rutgers.

We've talked about Royster before on the site and my belief is he'll still choose South Carolina when it's all said and done this Thursday. Royster has a great opportunity for early playing time here at USC and a chance to help USC repeat as SEC East division champions as a freshman. This staff isn't afraid to play younger players as seen the last few years so our secondary troubles combined with Royster's talent give him a great shot at providing an impact in 2011.

Be sure to check Life of a Gamecock this Thursday when an update should be official and be sure to follow us on Twitter and "like" the Facebook Fan Page. We'll be providing other updates on recruits, probably tomorrow, as it's been a busy weekend for Gamecock recruiting targets. There's people like Jadeveon Clowney, Tanner McEvoy, and others so plenty to talk about.
