The SEC announced it's first three weeks of the season for its members today during the start of SEC Media Days.
The Gamecocks already knew the time for their season opener against Vanderbilt but they now know the times and television networks that will broadcast the second and third games of the season.
Here's a quick rundown:
- Week 1 - August 30th: South Carolina at Vanderbilt, 7:00 pm on ESPN
- Week 2 - September 8th: East Carolina at South Carolina, 12:21 pm on SEC Network
- Week 3 - September 15th: UAB at South Carolina, 7:00 pm on Fox Sports Network
It's always great to open the season on ESPN on a Thursday night but Vanderbilt will be no pushover. James Franklin has done wonders in a short time and will have the Commodores ready to go. The next two games should be much easier for the Gamecocks but the 12:21 time on an early September day will be a hot one for the team and its fans.
The best thing about all this?
We're getting so much closer to football season.
