One of South Carolina's most controversial players in its history could be headed to the CFL for a second shot at the game of football.

Stephen Garcia is rumored to be headed up to Montreal for a mini-camp tryout with the Montreal Alouettes. He would have a tryout next weekend with a chance to turn that into a chance during training camp with the team.

Andrew Clifford, Stephen Garcia's former teammate, tweeted today something in French basically alluding to the tryout linked up above.

Garcia has worked to repair his image since his dismissal from USC in October and drew some interest after the NFL Draft from teams like the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Neither one of those opportunities panned out for Garcia but this might be a chance to play professional football for the young man.

Whether you like Garcia or not, Gamecock fans should wish this man the best of luck and hope he'll be able to land a spot with the Alouettes. Stephen Garcia did a lot of good at South Carolina and brought home some great wins for this program.

Best of luck Stephen!
