South Carolina found themselves a dynamic playmaker this season in Ace Sanders.
He's shown glimpses of brilliance at times during his career at South Carolina but no season stood out quite like his junior year. This season alone, Sanders returned two punts for touchdowns, set the school record for punt return yards in a season and led the team in receptions and touchdowns at the wide receiver position. He's even thrown for a touchdown this season.
With such a standout season, Sanders has been giving thought to the idea of turning pro. He had a fantastic Outback Bowl with a punt return for a touchdown and two receiving touchdowns along with 92 receiving yards. A closing game like that would have been a nice way for Sanders to end his career as a Gamecock.
But, if you take a look at the picture in this article shared by Ace Sanders, it looks like South Carolina will get one more year from No. 1.
Great news for South Carolina and certainly gives the Gamecocks a chance to retain a playmaker after losing players early to the pros like Alshon Jeffery and Stephon Gilmore.
Look for another big season from Sanders in 2013.
