Coach Steve Spurrier and some members of the South Carolina Gamecocks football team took to the court at halftime of the South Carolina/Vanderbilt game at halftime of Saturday's basketball game to recognize some of their achievements from this past football season. 

Spurrier admitted that the season didn't go quite as well as they hoped with Spurrier noting that "we hope to win an SEC Championship in the near future."

Spurrier also said that "we have a lot of future Gamecocks in the crowd tonight. We hope in the next few years, we're going to have an SEC Championship trophy down here."

South Carolina finished the season with 11 wins for the second straight season and finished with their highest ranking in school history. 

The future is bright for the Gamecocks.
