South Carolina took on Vanderbilt Saturday afternoon at the Colonial Life Arena in one of the season's most attended matchups for Frank Martin and men's basketball team.
The Gamecocks fought till the end but came up short yet in again in an SEC matchup by falling to Vanderbilt 58-51. Junior guard Brenton Williams added 16 points and freshman Michael Carrera added eight points and nine rebounds to pace the Gamecocks in the loss.
South Carolina falls to 11-6 on the season and 1-3 in SEC play. The next play the Missouri Tigers on the road this coming Tuesday. This game will be on ESPNU at 7:00 p.m.
